"His Hands Are Just Butter": Adam Gilchrist Names Best Wicketkeeper To Spin Bowling

Australia great Adam Gilchrist heaped praises on England's Ben Foakes by terming him the "best wicketkeeper" to spin bowling. Foakes is part of the England team in their ongoing five-match series in India. Gilchrist is duly impressed with the glovework of the 31-year-old behind the stumps. Foakes failed to make noticeable contributions with the bat in the first two Test against India but his wicketkeeping definitely helped his side in the series. The player was involved in some crucial breakthroughs by the virtue of his stumping and catching skills.

"Rishabh Pant Has Inspired A Lot Of Wicket-keeper Batters Around The World": Adam Gilchrist

Rishabh Pant isn't fit to play the upcoming World Cup but former Australian ace Adam Gilchrist is still fascinated by the kind of impact that the burly keeper-batter has had in his six years with the Indian team. Pant, who met with a horrific car accident last December, is currently doing his rehabilitation programme at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and is expected to make a comeback sometime next year. In his absence, KL Rahul will keep wickets for India and Ishan Kishan has a good chance of playing as a specialist middle-order batter.

Scotland fall to France and Gaël Fickou in 14-a-side Six Nations battle

Another breathless, brilliant encounter to ridicule the idea that rugby was somehow better in the old days. France won with a bonus point, Gaël Fickou’s last-minute try earning them the garnish and denying Scotland even the consolation of a point of their own. How they would have been worth it, or indeed the full five, had they come their way.

"Never Had An Open And Honest Answer": Adam Gilchrist On Indians Not Playing Foreign Leagues

Wicket-keeping legend Adam Gilchrist on Thursday said he wants the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to allow the Indian cricketers to take part in T20 leagues outside the country. The BCCI, presently, does not allow the Indian players to participate in overseas T20 leagues like Australia's Big Bash League to maintain exclusivity of IPL. "It will be wonderful (if the Indian players are allowed to play in overseas T20 leagues), I personally feel that it won't diminish the IPL, it will only grow them as a brand. If they (Indian players) can play in Australia or South Africa," Gilchrist told reporters.
