The brand MI continued to display its flawless cricketing skills as it added another trophy to its collection. Asked to bat first, the Orcas posted a good total of 183/9 in 20 overs with Quinton de Kock scoring 87 runs. However, the match turned upside down in the second innings as skipper Nicholas Pooran smashed a whopping total of 137 runs off just 55 balls and guided MI New York to victory by seven wickets.

With this win, New York entered the final of the tournament.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has tentatively identified the June 4-30 window for the T20 World Cup 2024 to be jointly hosted by the West Indies and the USA, and it has started inspecting the venues at the latter nation. There were speculations about USA's readiness to host the big-ticket event but the ICC team this week visited the venues marked to host the matches, quashing such doubts. The inspection team checked on stadiums at Lauderhill, Florida, New York, Dallas and Morrisville.
ICC men's T20 World Cup 2024 is likely to be played from June 4 to June 30 in West Indies and the USA, as reported by ESPNcricinfo. According to reports, an ICC delegation visited five of the USA's shortlisted locations this week. These locations will be hosting an international global cricket event for the first time.
