Rain played spoilsport in India Legends vs New Zealand Legends match at the Road Safety World Series on Monday but Sachin Tendulkar made sure he entertained the fans with his stroke play in the limited time. Notably, only 5.5 overs of play was possible at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore before rain forced the match to end without a result. Tendulkar had scored 19 runs off 13 balls by then. His unbeaten knock included four fours, one of which came through a superb lap shot which is going viral on social media.
Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar is currently leading the India Legends in the ongoing Road Safety World Series. The match between India Legends and New Zealand Legends was abandoned due to rain on Monday at the Holkar Stadium in Indore but it was not before, the batting maestro treated the fans to some sublime shots. When Tendulkar played these shots, it did not look like that he retired in November 2013. The right-handed batter played some of his trademark shots like backfoot punch and scoop.
President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach has paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at an IOC executive board meeting. Queen Elizabeth II died, aged 96, on Thursday, and a minute’s silence was held at the meeting on Friday. Ad Bach told the meeting that sport had lost a great supporter after her death.
