SEOUL, Korea, Republic Of — Denis Shapovalov advanced to the Korea Open final with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Jenson Brooksby in semifinal action Saturday.
World number two Casper Ruud crashed out of the Korea Open quarter-finals on Friday to 56th-ranked Yoshihito Nishioka, while Britain's Cameron Norrie pulled out due to illness. Shapovalov defeated eighth seed Jenson Brooksby of the United States 7-5, 6-4 on Saturday while Nishioka beat another American, Aleksandar Kovacevic, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 in the other semi-final in Seoul.
