Justine Braisaz-Bouchet followed up her Olympic biathlon title in the mass start with crystal globe in the discipline after winning the final World Cup event of the season. The Frenchwoman took glory on a dramatic day in Oslo where the home crowd were able to celebrate Sivert Guttorm Bakken who won the men's mass start to take the crystal globe. Ad/> It was the women who were racing first, with Braisaz-Bouchet taking the World Cup title by just two points.
Sturla Holm Laegreid and Tiril Eckhoff combined to give Norway a dream day in the Biathlon World Cup in Oslo as they took the men's and women's sprints respectively. Laegreid produced a dominant display to take victory in the men's shooting clear and finishing 22.4 seconds clear of overall World Cup winner Quentin Fillon Maillet.
Ursa Bogataj came out on top as Slovenia swept the podium places in the women's HS100 at the ski jumping World Cup in Oberhof Berlin. The two-time Olympic gold medallist finished with 227.4 points, 4.3 ahead of compatriot Nika Kriznar, who recorded a final tally of 273.1, while Ema Klinec finished third with 262.4.

Norwegian Jarl Magnus Riiber moved into the overall season lead after winning a fourth consecutive men's FIS Nordic Combined World Cup event on the first day of the final leg in Schonach. Riiber moved a solitary point clear of Johannes Lamparter in the standings by crossing the line after the 10km cross-country skiing leg in 23 minutes 48.9 seconds.
Richard Jouve was crowned the overall winner of the Cross Country Sprint World Cup for the 2021/22 season after a thrilling victory at the World Cup finals event in Falun. With overall World Cup winner Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo absent, Frenchman Jouve had to finish first to overtake the Norwegian at the top of the sprint standings to claim the title. Ad/> And in a thrilling race Jouve ultimately prevailed by just 0.49s in a time of 3:03.62, beating Finland's Joni Maki to not only win the race but the overall sprint standings for the season.
Quentin Fillon Maillet continued to stretch his lead in the Biathlon World Cup after an excellent win in Thursday's 10km sprint race in Otepaa. The Frenchmen maintained his grip on the yellow bib, with a brilliant race in Estonia fresh from winning two gold medals at the Beijing Olympic Winter Games.
