Maybe I'll go on to do bigger things: Sourav Ganguly

'Many good things in 3 years as board president'KOLKATA: Sourav Ganguly seems to have reconciled with the inevitable. With five days of his tenure as the BCCI president still remaining, he is already referring to it in the past tense. "I was the CAB president for five years. Then I was the Board president for three years," he said at a promotional event, while reflecting on his days as an administrator. "In these three years, so many good things have happened. We had IPL during the Covid pandemic, such difficult times for all of us. We won the U-19 World Cup. The broadcast rights went for an all-time high. And, I wish the senior women team had won the Commonwealth Games gold, they could have beaten Australia. These were great moments for me as an administrator," he said. The reference came after a philosophical Ganguly said "nothing is permanent", whether it is being a player or an administrator. "I have been an administrator, now I will move on to something else."

In their absence, other pacers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh will have to take extra responsibility. "World Cup Is...": Kuldeep Yadav Wants To Focus On 'Process' After 4-For vs South Africa

Kuldeep (4/18) ran through the South African middle-order in the third ODI as India cantered home by seven wickets. "The World Cup is far away. I am not thinking about it. I have become very practical now with things. I focus on the series I play. I have become experienced now, so I have an idea how to bowl. Kwame Karikari Stars As Chennaiyin Rally To Defeat ATK Mohun Bagan

Goalkeeper Vishal Kaith's indiscretion and a poor defensive organisation during counter-attack cost ATK Mohun Bagan dearly as Chennaiyin FC rallied from a goal down to beat hosts 2-1 in the opening Indian Super League encounter between the two teams, in Kolkata on Monday. It was Ghanaian forward Kwame Karikari, who came in as a substitute in the second half and turned the match on its head, by first equalising in the 64th minute and then setting up India international Rahim Ali for the winner in the 83rd minute. This was after Manvir Singh's powerful left-footer in the 27th minute gave the Mariners 1-0 lead.
