India batter Suryakumar Yadav displayed his wide range of shots during his 65-run knock against the West Indies in the third T20I in Kolkata on Sunday. Suryakumar unleashed his brute power on way to an explosive half-century and was well supported by Venkatesh Iyer as India posted a challenging 184 for five. Suryakumar smashed seven sixes and one boundary in an exceptional display of clean-hitting before getting out for a 31-ball 65 in the final delivery. India smashed 86 runs in the final five overs. Among his big hits was a six that saw him hit a six over fine leg with a slight flick of the wrists.
Pacer Avesh Khan was handed his international debut on Sunday as he was included in the Indian team to face West Indies in the 3rd T20I in Kolkata. Avesh received his maiden cap from experienced India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar ahead of the match on Sunday. Avesh is one of the four changes in the India playing XI alongside Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer and Shardul Thakur. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal made way apart from Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. The BCCI shared a video of Avesh receiving his maiden cap from Bhuvneshwar on its social media handles.

Gani scripted history on Friday as he became the first player to score a triple-century on first-class debut. The batter achieved the feat in Bihar's ongoing Ranji Trophy Plate Group match against Mizoram here at Jadavpur University Campus 2nd Ground, Kolkata. Tendulkar praised Gani for his achievement.
