Young fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain has been suspended from bowling in international cricket after the Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Friday that his action was found to be illegal.

Quetta Gladiators veteran all-rounder Shahid Afridi made a return to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and claimed one wicket in a match against Islamabad United in Karachi on Thursday. Afridi got hammered for 67 runs in his four overs while bagging only a single wicket in the process. The former Pakistan captain bowled some questionable lines and lengths and was particularly targeted by attacking batter Azam Khan. Afridi was hit for 47 runs in the first three overs of his spell while he got smashed for 20 in the last over of the innings by Azam.

Acquainted with playing in Pakistan, English batter Alex Hales says the England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) decision to pull out of the country's tour last year made "zero sense" to him. Hales, who is playing for Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), did not agree with ECB'S move to withdraw weeks before the tour scheduled for October last year, citing security concerns. "That decision to cancel that tour made absolutely no sense," Hales, a white ball specialist, told Geo TV.

Islamabad batter Gurbaz brought out the "helicopter" in the 15th over of the run-chase against pacer Sohail Khan as the ball was dispatched over the mid-wicket boundary for a maximum. Even the commentators applauded this unorthodox style of batting which yielded six runs for the batter.
