Three-wicket hauls from Harpreet Brar and Nathan Ellis and a fantastic six-hitting show from Liam Livingstone powered PBKS to a comfortable win, with 29 deliveries to spare. The win saw Punjab Kings finish sixth, while SRH's campaign ended with them 8th on the IPL 2022 points table.

Jonny Bairstow set the tone and though he failed to cash in on a reprieve by Umran Malik off Washington Sundar, the batsmen who followed him down the order wasted little time in helping the team finish the match at 160 for five with 4. 5 overs to spare and finish sixth in the standings.
Pujara, who was dropped for the home Test series against Sri Lanka earlier this year due to poor form, thanked the selectors for recognizing his sizzling recent run in county cricket, which has seen him slam four centuries, including two double hundreds on the trot. "I am glad to have been selected for the England Test, and happy that my recent county performances were recognized. Having spent some time in the middle during the county games, I do believe it will keep me in good stead as we get ready for the game against England. Sunrisers Hyderabad stand-in skipper Bhuvneshwar Kumar was satisfied with his performance in the IPL as managing his injuries became a "challenge" in an otherwise disappointing season for his team. After winning five back-to-back games out of first seven, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost six out of the next seven to finish eighth in the 10-team IPL table. "As for me, it was a challenging season with injuries hampering me, thought I did a decent job and will look to come back better in the next season," Kumar said at the post-match presentation.
