The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday conducted searches at the premises of Hockey India (HI) and the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) at Delhi and Jammu in a corruption case. A senior CBI official informed that they conducted the raids after preliminary enquiry and registered a case against the former IOA president Narinder Dhruv Batra and other office bearers of the IOA in New Delhi.
The tournament will take place at the Balewadi Stadium with eight franchises competing for the trophy. The player draft for the 2022 season will take place in August. The organisers also intend to stage a talent scouting event in October in four cities - Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Gujarat.

NEW DELHI : India's top sports administrator Narinder Batra, who headed the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and the country's Olympic association, resigned from both posts on Monday citing "personal reasons".
Veteran sports administrator Narinder Batra on Monday resigned as President of International Hockey Federation (FIH) and also gave up his membership of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Batra ceased to be President of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) when the Delhi High Court, on May 25, struck down the post of 'Life member' in Hockey India, courtesy which he had contested the IOA elections and won back in 2017.
