Mumbai Name Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav In 35-Probable List For Off-Season Training Camp

The newly-formed Mumbai selection committee, led by former India cricketer Raju Kulkarni, on Friday named 35 probable players, including big names like Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav for an off-season training camp scheduled to be held in Mumbai next week. Besides, India captain Rohit and Suryakumar, the list also includes Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur. But their participation in the camp is unlikely as they are currently in England for the World Test Championship final against Australia starting June 7 at The Oval.

MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings held their nerve till the last ball of the IPL 2023 final against Gujarat Titans to clinch the title in style. With four needed off the final delivery, Ravindra Jadeja hit a boundary to take CSK over the line. With the win, CSK clinched a record-equalling fifth IPL title. Chasing 171 in 15 overs (target revised after rain interrupted the match), CSK were 149/4 in 12.4 overs when Dhoni came in to bat. However, the CSK captain fell for 0 as CSK were reduced to 149/5 in 12.5 overs. However, Shivam Dube and Jadeja ensured that there are no further hiccups for CSK.

Legendary India spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan was all praise for MS Dhoni after his successful knee surgery. Dhoni suffered an injury during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 but he kept on playing in the tournament and ultimately led his side to a record-equalling fifth title. Dhoni led the side from the frot and even pulled off a brilliant stumping to dismiss Shubman Gill in the final against Gujarat Titans. Afghanistan opener Ibrahim Zadran starred with run-a-ball 98 in his team's six-wicket win against hosts Sri Lanka in the first of three one-day internationals on Friday. Zadran and Rahmat Shah (55) top scored to steer the visitors to 269-4 in the 47th over after they won the toss and chose to field first in Hambantota. Earlier Charith Asalanka top-scored with 91 to help Sri Lanka reach a below-par 268 all out after a shaky start pushed them to 84-3 inside 20 overs.
