India finished second on the Group A Points Table with a total of four points while England stood number one in Group B with six points. England remained unbeaten in all three Group B fixtures while India lost their opening game to Australia by three wickets.

TOI has learnt that the organisers have revised the timings of the India-versus-England semifinal of the women's T20 competition at Edgbaston on Saturday to suit Indian audiences. Originally scheduled to be the second semifinal under lights, the match was supposed to be played at 10.30 pm IST. However, this will now be the first semifinal, and will instead be played at 3.30 pm. The second semifinal will see a trans-Tasman clash between the Southern Stars (Australia) and White Ferns (New Zealand).

The Indian quartet of Muhammad Anas, Noah Nirmal Tom, Muhammed Ajmal and Amoj Jacob have qualified for the final of the men's 4 x 400 relay event after performing great in their heat number 2 at the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham on Friday. The Indian team finished in the second spot in heat 2, having clocked the timings of 3:06.97 seconds. At the top was team Kenya, which clocked a timing of 3:06.76s. At the third position was the team of Trinidad and Tobago, which ended with timings of 3:07.12s on the board. These three teams have earned a spot in the final.

Day 7 of the ongoing Commonwealth Games saw India add two medals -- a gold and silver -- to their kitty.
