The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced fixtures for the much-anticipated international home season of Team India (Senior Men) for 2024-25. The international home season will kick off in September with a two-match IDFC First Bank Test series against Bangladesh, followed by a three-match T20I series. Chennai will host the first Test starting on 19th September while Kanpur will host the second Test from 27th September. The three T20Is will be played in Dharamshala, Delhi and Hyderabad.

Bangladesh seamer Tanzim Hasan Sakib has been fined 15 per cent of his match fee for violating ICC's code of conduct during their final group D match of the 2024 T20 World Cup against Nepal. The incident took place in the third over of the Nepal chase on Sunday when Tanzim had a verbal spat with Nepal skipper Rohit Paudel amidst a spirited spell at Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown. Tanzim bowled exceptionally well in the game and finished with a match-winning spell of 4/7 to help Bangladesh claim a 21-run win.
