"If An In-Form Player Sits Out...": Ex-India Star Takes Firm Stance On KL Rahul vs Ishan Kishan Debate

Former India batter Mohammed Kaif is happy with the healthy competition for places in the team heading into next month's World Cup on home soil. The Indian team management has some big decisions to make with the World Cup kicking off in less than a month's time. The Rohit Sharma-led side is yet to finalise its middle-order, with the likes of KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Ishan Kishan fighting for a place in the playing XI. While Kishan has been in fine form with the bat in 2023, Rahul and Iyer have recovered from their respective injuries.

Spanish prosecutors accuse Rubiales of sexual assault and coercion for kissing a player at World Cup

BARCELONA, Spain: Spanish state prosecutors have accused Luis Rubiales of sexual assault and coercion for kissing a player without her consent after the Women’s World Cup final, the country’s prosecutors’ office said Friday. Rubiales, the now-suspended president of the Spanish soccer federation, kissed Jenni Hermoso during the awards ceremony after Spain beat England to win the title on Aug. 20 in Sydney, Australia. Prosecutors presented a case against Rubiales to Spain’s National Court in Madrid two days after Hermoso formally accused him of sexual assault. According to a sexual consent law passed last year, Rubiales could face a fine or a prison sentence of one to four years if found guilty of sexual assault. Prosecutors added Friday that Rubiales could have committed an act of coercion when, according to Hermoso, he pressured her to speak out in his defense immediately after the scandal erupted regarding his behavior. Rubiales has insisted the kiss was consensual.

"Two People Missing": India's World Cup Winning Star's No Holds Barred Take On Rohit Sharma-led Squad

The names of the 15 chosen ones in Indian cricket team's World Cup 2023 is out. India captain Rohit Sharma said at the Cricket World Cup squad announcement that  this was the 'best' side that they could chose. Speaking during a virtual press conference organised by Star Sports, former Indian cricket team India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh spoke about the absence of two players, Yuzvendra Chahal and Arshdeep Singh, from India's World Cup team. "In my opinion, there are two people missing in this team. First, Yuzvendra Chahal, and second, Arshdeep Singh. Because a left-arm seamer, if he can bring the new ball inside, it makes it useful in the game," Harbhajan Singh said.
