Ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Delhi Capitals (DC) on Friday named Australian all-rounder Jake Fraser-McGurk as a replacement for Proteas bowler Lungisani Ngidi. IPL released a statement that the South African seamer has been ruled out of the upcoming season due to an injury. It added that Fraser-McGurk joined the Delhi-based franchise with his reserve price of Rs 50 lakhs.

World number two Alcaraz was stung on the forehead and temporarily forced from the court as a "bee invasion" halted his quarter-final against Germany's Zverev with just two games completed. He looked none the worse for wear when play resumed after a delay of almost two hours, polishing off a 6-3, 6-1 victory and avenging a quarter-final loss to Zverev at the Australian Open.

In an episode of the Club Prairie Fire podcast, co-hosted by Vaughan and Gilchrist, Pant was asked to sledge the former England skipper and he came up with a hilarious reply. “I would say (to Vaughan) your'e focussing too much on social media,” Pant said. When asked to sledge Gilchrist, Pant simply replied - “He's in his own zone, you cannot disturb these kind of people. Nothing much I can say to him.”
