Meet Ishan Kishan 2.0. For this version of the wicketkeeper batter, improving himself as an individual and helping Mumbai Indians go forward in the IPL 2024 matter more than overreaching himself for a berth in India's T20 World Cup squad. Kishan used his marauding 34-ball 69 against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru as a pointer to his newfound mindset, which the left-hander acquired during his recent break time from cricket. Multiple people are feared dead following an incident at a shopping centre in Sydney.
Young Lucknow Super Giants batter Ayush Badoni credited skipper KL Rahul and coach Justin Langer for keeping faith in him despite his disappointing run early in the ongoing IPL season, saying their support helped him perform against the Delhi Capitals, albeit in a losing cause. The 24-year-old Badoni struck an unbeaten 55 off 35 balls to help resurrect LSG's innings and post a competitive 167 for 7, a target which the Delhi Capitals achieved in 18.1 overs in Lucknow on Friday.
India continued their dismal show in the crucial tour Down Under, losing 1-3 against Australia to suffer their fourth consecutive defeat in the five-match men's hockey Test series, on Friday. Contrary to the final result, it was a much-improved performance from the Indians but the Kookaburras were simply too strong. All the four goals in the match, which started 40 minutes late due to lightning, came from penalty corners. India took the lead in the 12th minute through skipper Harmanpreet Singh but Jeremy Hayward's (19th, 47th) brace and Jack Welch (54th) strike handed Australia yet another win in the series.
Australia and Delhi Capitals (DC) batter David Warner's latest collaboration with Telugu director SS Rajamouli has taken the internet by storm. In an advertisement for Cred, an Indian fintech company, Warner can be seen donning a persona inspired from Rajamouli's mega blockbuster movie - Bahubali. The ad perfectly depicts Warner's love for Telugu movies, and his antics throughout the cameo made Rajamouli a frustrated figure. The ad was also shared by Warner on his official Instagram handle. In the ad, Warner can be seen recreating some hit scenes and also performed a few dance moves.
India's 2014-15 Test series in Australia is one to remember for Virat Kohli. Not only he shone with the bat Down Under but also became India's Test captain, replacing the great MS Dhoni during the tour. Kohli was the top-scorer for the Indian side in the four-match Test series with 692 runs to his name, being only behind Australia's Steve Smith's tally of 769. Kohli kicked off with a century each in both the innnigs of the first Test that was played at Adelaide Oval. In the next game at The Gabba in Brisbane, Kohli failed to replicate his heroics but he made a good comeback with a ton each in Melbourne and Sydney in the third and final Test matches that folllowed.
Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Rishabh Pant was involved in a heated argument with the on-field umpire over a DRS call in their IPL 2024 match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Friday. The incident happened on the 4th over of LSG's innings after Ishant Sharma bowled a ball down the leg side to Devdutt Padikkal. The on-field umpire signalled for a wide but Pant gestured for a review. The replays showed that it was indeed a wide but Pant was left vexed, with the commentators suggesting the DC skipper was insisting that he did not ask for a review.
