Messi, who was 34 at the time, thought the same thing. “My dream is to win another Champions League and I think I am in the ideal place to have that chance and to do it,” he said at his unveiling. Alas, it did not work out that way, either in Messi’s first season in Paris, under compatriot Mauricio Pochettino in 2021/22, or in the next campaign under Christophe Galtier.
