Nigerian champions, Rangers Football Club of Enugu’s faint hopes of qualifying for the group stage of the CAF Champions League was extinguished, yesterday, in Luanda, Angola, by Sagrada Esperanca of Angola, who beat the Flying Antelopes 3-1 in the second leg of their Second Round tie.

If everything works according to their plans, the Rangers Football Club of Enugu’s delegation to their CAF Champions League second round, second leg match against Angola’s Sagrada Esperanca will leave for the Southern Africa country tomorrow.

It was mixed fortunes for Nigerian clubs at the CAF inter-club competitions, at the weekend, with Enugu Rangers barely managing to qualify for the second round of the Champions League, while El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri were eliminated from the Confederation Cup.
