On Saturday, at the 2022 IPL Auction in Bengaluru, perhaps the second chapter of his career began. Before Saturday, Hasaranga, a player in the mold of Afghanistan's Rashid Khan as a spinning all-rounder who delivers aggressive leg-breaks besides being a hard-hitter in the lower middle order, had played just two IPL Games. Hasaranga saw the Royal Challengers Bangalore break the bank to take him home for a whopping Rs 10.75 Crore.
